Workforce Training
Our goal is to help all our residents move up the economic ladder and to help local businesses find skilled labor.
We will offer Tailor-made resident services, such as a homeowner down payment assistance program for residents earning a degree or certification.
Located a 1/4 mile south of the Kansas City Kansas Community College Technical Education Center and only two miles from Kansas City Kansas Community College, residents can easily attend classes to earn that degree or certification.
We’re also planning a two-fold local employer exchange program. Participating employers will be notified of vacant units at Davidson’s Landing, and Davidson’s Landing residents will be notified of job openings with those local employers. For example, employers like the new Amazon Fulfillment Center located 1-mile southwest of Davidson’s Landing as well as businesses in proposed Turner Logistics Park located only a quarter mile from the neighborhood.
